It was a particularly windy day in Houston. For the first time ever, I experienced what it was like to be in a "swaying building". We had one of our meetings this morning at one of the highest floor in the complex, and the meeting room was actually at the corner of the building. Because of the strong winds, one could actually feel the room moving a little - as if one were in a ferry! :) According to the Houston website, the winds were around 20km/h in the later evening - not sure if those were the same speeds in the morning.
There are more X'mas ads now on TV and definitely lots of Thanksgiving reminders all round - turkey in the grocery stores, Starbucks X'mas cups, and of course, a bit of festive cheer in the air with lights and decorations along some streets. When Eve comes, we'd be having our first thanksgiving dinner in the US with Julia and Colin the week after. It'd be another first for Eve :)
