Louis and I are supposed to pack all our stuff today since we would be checking out of Magnolia Hotel and heading to London tomorrow. We hope that between the two of us, we can pack everything into 1 luggage for the London/Paris vacation and leave the other luggage with stuff/clothes that we don't need at the hotel since we are returning in early Jan 07. That's not inclusing all the presents that we are lugging to London in 4 separate bags, which we would bring on board.
Its unbelieveable how much things/junk one can collect over time. We've got to pack away our crockpot, rice cooker, chinese wok, utensils and kitchen condiments since we would still be using them when we return to Houston.
Today, Astee emailed to inform us that London's Heathrow airport has cancelled a number of flights on Thur due to the fog and things may remain the same for the next 48 hours. We're going to fly in from Gatwick, and Adrian's landing at Heathrow. Let's hope that things would improve by this Sat. We've been looking forward to seeing and spending time with Adrian.
According to BBC's weather forecast, temperature from Sat till next Tue seem to hoover around a high of 5C and low of 1-2C. Its a lot colder compared to the weather in Houston. Its weird but Texas winter is kinda like summer (average of 22C daily). In fact, I've been going around in short sleeves and skirts for the last few days.
On the home front, Louis and I seemed to have missed out on 2 ROM/wedding during the year end. At least, I hope we would be able to attend Chee Keong's wedding next Dec, along with Baby. One thing we certainly do not miss and that's the flood and outpour back in Singapore due to the monsoon.
Just 1 more day to go before London. I hope the weather would improve and Adrian's and our flight plans would go as scheduled.
