First blog on our very own site - from Houston

Once again, my wife has proven herself to be more techie than this Computer Science grad. :) It's my first post on a site that is our very own; it holds special meaning especially since louisandeve was a site we used during our wedding in 2003.

Houston has been as welcoming as a foreign place can be - the perspective of a business traveller staying out of a suitcase in a hotel often takes its toll on one's impression of the place. But Houston has remained charming in spite of it all. It reminds me of California to a large extent - the assimilation of a migrant community, the weather and of course the variety of food.

I can't wait for Eve to arrive though :) Things always look brighter and activities more meaningful when done as a couple. That's one of the things you tend to take for granted until you're apart. The good thing is this - we'd be celebrating our third anniversary in Houston - the third time we're doing it overseas - the first was in France (at INSEAD), the second at the serene Banyan Tree Bintan and now..Houston :)
